Our story
Because every child deserves a chance
Morning Glory Public Society exists and works towards making that possible. It is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, India, and aims to help make the world self-sufficient.

True to this belief, MGPS has grown into a unique foundation in its working areas. We deliver specially designed training for skill development and better education to rural, semi-urban and slum communities, supporting individual development and relief.
Our approach
Strengthening people and communities
We aim to improve civil society performance by strengthening individual skills and effectiveness, and by exploring the issues that matter. Our work covers:
- Education and life-skill education programmes
- Environmental awareness and AIDS awareness
- Road safety and rural awareness generation camps
- Vocational training and skill development initiatives
- Rural entrepreneurship development
Even with limited resources we reach many underprivileged women, children and youth through the dedication and untiring effort of innovative people.
Women’s leadership
An integrated approach
MGPS follows an integrated approach. Opportunities in leadership, decision making and self-reliance are given particularly to women. Responsibilities for each programme – from identifying needs and problems to analysis, planning and evaluation – are vested with them.
Special support is given to women who are economically deprived, exploited, harassed or abused, so they can assert themselves and achieve equality. Programme staff and the community contribute equally to the society’s efforts and achievements.
