MGPS joins hands with the community to find remedies and create the environment people need to improve their socio-economic status and fulfil their aspirations – for themselves and for their community as a whole.
We work for education for all, healthy mothers and healthy children, and control of the HIV/AIDS epidemic – following humanity in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice and bear witness.

POSH Act 2013
Empanelled as a resource institute for the prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace, and an external member of POSH committees.
Narayani Sewa
Started in October 2019, we distribute ration every month to widowed women aged 60 and above.
CSR activities
Menstrual hygiene for girls of classes 6–12 in government schools, malnutrition support for small children, and vocational training.

Morning Glory Public Society is covered under Section 80G and 12A
The 80G certificate is issued by the Income Tax Department to encourage donors to give to eligible non-government organisations.
- Donors receive a 50% tax exemption on donations to the NGO.
- The donated amount can be deducted from the donor’s Gross Total Income.
- Under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, an NGO is exempt from paying tax on its surplus income.
Safe workplaces
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013
The Act (No. 14 of 2013) protects women against sexual harassment at work and provides for the prevention and redressal of complaints.
Under this Act, an MGPS member is placed at the workplace. If any woman faces harassment she can complain to that member, and we take strict action against the person responsible.

Care for elderly widows living alone
We support elderly and widowed women who live alone and have no source of income. Every month we provide them ration and try to keep them happy and cared for.
Menstrual hygiene & vocational training
We run menstrual hygiene programmes for girls of classes 6–12 in government schools and provide sanitary pads. We also run vocational training for rural women aged 18 to 35, teaching life skills for everyday situations such as travelling and dealing with people.
